Résumé
Objectif : Explorer la littérature concernant les jeunes ayant vécu des expériences négatives à l'enfance (ENE), leur réactivité potentielle à la recherche et les protocoles d'atténuation des traumatismes liés à la recherche.
Méthodes : Une étude systématique a été menée dans APA PsychInfo, CINAHL, Embase et OVID Medline. 2 évaluateurs ont examiné chaque article pour trouver 12 études éligibles. Les études quantitatives et qualitatives mesurant les réponses de la recherche sur la maltraitance et les traumatismes étaient éligibles. Les jeunes étaient définis comme des individus âgés de 10 à 19 ans.
Résultats : Aucune étude n'a utilisé le questionnaire ENE avec des mesures de stress liées à la recherche. Parmi celles qui incluaient des mesures de réactivité à la recherche, diverses formes de victimisation de l'enfance et de la jeunesse ont été prises en compte. La majorité des participants n'ont pas déclaré s'être sentis bouleversés, et beaucoup d'entre eux ont fait état des avantages de leur participation. Des informations sur les protocoles de gestion de la détresse étaient disponibles pour 11 études, la plus courante étant la mise à disposition d'une feuille d'aide et/ou d'un registre des ressources.
Implications : Il n'y a pas de mention de détresse à la suite d'une recherche liée aux ENE, et peu d'études mesurent la détresse à travers l'expérience de la recherche. Une étude a mesuré le suivi de la détresse et des actions ultérieures. Des recherches supplémentaires peuvent être indiquées pour évaluer l'efficacité de ces protocoles chez cette population avec une évaluation de suivi.
